ANSYS brings together more than 150 Spanish engineers in its ANSYS Convergence regional conference

The engineering simulation software company holds its annual conference in Madrid and presents the first edition of the Master in Numerical Simulation in Engineering, developed with the Polytechnic University of Madrid, and which already has almost a hundred students. The attendees were able to learn about the vision, strategy and development plans of ANSYS, as well as learn about the best practices in the industry, such as that of Técnicas Reunidas, which received the trophy for the Most Innovative Project with the Use of Simulation

ANSYS, a company specializing in simulation software for product development, has held ANSYS Convergence in Madrid, its annual regional conference, which has brought together more than 150 representatives of the Spanish engineering industry. The event, organized by ANSYS Iberia (www.ansys-iberia.com), offered attendees the vision and strategy of the company, as well as product development plans and the specific services that the company offers to the engineering community. Spanish.

The ANSYS Convergence agenda allowed the more than 150 engineers present to take a deep dive into the benefits of integrating numerical simulation into the product design process.

Through presentations, posters and meetings with ANSYS professionals and its main partners, attendees were able to learn more about ANSYS' own software and the success stories of different company clients who already use its simulation solutions. numerical in different industrial fields.

One of the most notable cases was presented by Técnicas Reunidas, which is building a saltwater pumping plant in Oman. Joaquín de Hita Alonso, Director of Engineering and Technical Services at Técnicas Reunidas, received the trophy for the Most Innovative Project Using Simulation from ANSYS Iberia, and explained that “Técnicas Reunidas has been able to significantly shorten the engineering times of the new seawater pumping station in Oman using ANSYS simulation technology, crucial to meet the agreed deadlines and ensure the highest efficiency of the plant”.

Engineers, researchers, CAD managers, project managers and technical directors were also able to learn about the best practices in simulation-based product design.

In addition to having a more informative section on the simulation software, ANSYS Convergence offered them several technical seminars in which different strategies were presented to increase their efficiency and productivity in the use of the software, optimize processes and reduce the time of calculation in the stages of virtual prototyping of products and customizing the available tools to adapt them to the specific needs of each industry and company.

For Gilles Lebiez, CEO of ANSYS Iberia, the success of ANSYS Convergence is based on the fact that "every year we increase the presence of our simulation software in most industrial markets, thanks to the fact that our priority is to provide you with increasingly complete tools numerical simulation, with better product quality in the long term and experience in the industrial world”.

This conference has been developed in collaboration with FNAC, which presented a new immersive solution for ANSYS users, developed for Microsoft's Surface Pro 3.

“We are delighted to work with ANSYS, the Surface Pro 3 is a great solution for the extraordinary community of ANSYS engineers”, Sanjeev Nath, from Microsoft Ibérica.
