RECOM's latest addition to its DC/DC converter portfolio is one of the smallest in its class of low profile QFN package voltage regulating power modules. The RPX-2.5 module is exceptional due to its flip-chip technology that increases power density and improves thermal management.
RECOM's new power module offers high power density in a thermally enhanced 4,5mm x 4mm x 2mm QFN package. The RPX-2.5 provides an input range of 4,5 to 28 VDC, allowing the use of 5 V, 12 V, or 24 V supply voltages. The output voltage can be adjusted with two resistors in the range of 1,2 .6V to 2,5V. The maximum output current is 92A, and the output is fully protected against continuous short circuit, output over current or over temperature fault. It has an efficiency of up to XNUMX% and is thermally optimized thanks to its flip-chip technology.
A shielded inductor built into this miniature package makes it optimal for space limited applications. To facilitate rapid testing, RECOM also offers an evaluation card for this product so that customers can test quickly and easily.
