KIOXIA CM7 and CD8P Series NVMe Drives Deliver High Performance and Reliability for Cloud and Enterprise Data Centers
KIOXIA Europe GmbH today announced that its NVM Express SSDsTM (NVMeTM) CM7 and CD8P series have passed certification testing for compliance with PCI Express specifications® (PCIe®) 5.0 and NVMe 2.0.
Developed by PCI-SIG®, the PCIe 5.0 specification is an improvement that doubles the data transfer speed and bandwidth over the PCIe 4.0 specification, allowing KIOXIA CM7 SSDs to achieve read performance of up to 14.000 Megabyte/ s.
PCIe 5.0 testing was performed in laboratories in accordance with PCI-SIG standards with PCI-SIG approved systems, together with other leading manufacturers of PCIe products.
KIOXIA CM7 and CD8P series drives can now be found on the PCI-SIG integrator list. Obtaining this compliance certification from these laboratories provides users with the assurance that KIOXIA drives meet the rigorous requirements of the PCIe 5.0 specification.
KIOXIA's CM7 and CD8P series units have been included in the official list published by the University of New Hampshire® of InterOperability Laboratory's (UNH-IOL) integrators. To be considered for listing, technologies must undergo conformance testing conducted by UNH-IOL through laboratory testing or during an NVMe Plugfest. Success in these tests provides a reasonable level of confidence that the tested product will function correctly on NVMe-enabled systems and in NVM Express over Fabrics (NVMe-oF) environments.TM).

KIOXIA CM7 series enterprise SSDs are available in read-intensive and mixed-use 2,5-inch and E3.S form factors, with capacities up to 30,72 terabytes (TB) (only in the 2,5-inch form factor).
