Promotion and support of the development of the automotive radar industry

Keysight Technologies has announced that Keysight and Aview have joined forces to establish a laboratory for millimeter wave radar to be located in Suzhou, China, developed to help foster the development of autonomous driving technologies.

millimeter wave radar

It is a critical sensor to enable autonomous driving. The development of millimeter-wave automotive radar should minimize propagation losses, phase rumble, and frequency response errors, such as the impact of noise on the evaluation module (EVM). As a result, millimeter wave testing, especially in the 81 to XNUMX GHz frequency band, requires a fast, accurate and reliable test solution.

Keysight's radar target simulator covers a frequency range of 81 to XNUMX GHz with superior accuracy and capabilities, providing a radar emulation function of parts of a wave millimeter with high repeatability and a flexible definition of the distance range.

Aview is committed to developing a line of high-performance automated and test systems for millimeter-wave radars, cameras, and other components for imaging applications, as well as providing related testing and research. Keysight will provide the millimeter wave radar platform covering everything from R&D feasibility testing to production testing, accelerating technological innovation in the automotive industry and enabling solutions to be brought to market quickly.

"Jointly establishing a millimeter wave radar laboratory between Keysight Technologies and Aview is a win-win initiative for both companies and their service customers," said Pan Qitao, regional sales manager for East China at Keysight. “We will collaborate to assist the automotive industry to quickly bring innovative products to market and support the implementation phase of autonomous driving.”
