RS Components has been named the world's first distributor of GripIt Fixings

GripIt Fixings chooses RS to bring this innovative universal fastening system to the industrial market worldwide

RS Components becomes the first global distributor of GripIt Fixings, thus guaranteeing the fixing of heavy loads to plasterboard walls throughout the world.

The GripIt fixing system is revolutionary. It has been recently launched on the market, offers high load capacities, ease of installation and high reliability; unlike the existing and more traditional fixings for plasterboard surfaces.

While traditional fixings have limited ability to secure accessories such as cabinets or radiators to plasterboard walls, GripIt Fixings provide a more robust anchor, capable of handling loads of up to 180kg, making it an ideal system for use in a wide variety of applications. of industrial environments, such as in offices, hotels, shops and also for home and DIY use.

“GripIt Fixings solve everyday problems, all over the world, which is why we are particularly interested in bringing this solution to the global market,” said Jordan Daykin, entrepreneur and co-inventor of GripIt. “RS Components has a consolidated global presence and a broad base of installing and engineering customers, whom we are looking forward to reaching out to achieve our goals.”

“RS is a clear alternative to bring GripIt to customers around the world,” added Deborah Meaden, a researcher and collaborator on this project. wide range of products and fast delivery.”

“RS is dedicated to offering solutions and products that solve everyday problems and make the daily work of its customers easier. And the GripIt fastening system takes an innovative approach to solving a lifelong problem, further enhancing our ability to support engineering customers with any of their product needs, from design to installation.” said Ben Lawton, Global Head of Tools and Consumables at RS Components. “Jordan is a committed and enthusiastic businessman. We look forward to working with him and Deborah to completely transform installers' perception of drywall surface fasteners.”

The GripIt fastening system is easy to use and features a circular plastic body with a pair of metal wings for locking. The GripIt fixing is inserted into the hole drilled in the drywall surface and gently tapped with the aid of a hammer until it is flush with the surface. To ensure correct positioning of the support wings, they are turned clockwise with the rotating screws, until a firm resistance is felt and the wings are locked, thus guaranteeing that the system is fixed in that position and ensuring a high load capacity.

RS stock the full range of GripIt bindings, available in four different sizes ranging from 15mm to 25mm in diameter. Each model is color coded according to its diameter and load capacity. Self-adjusting fixings are suitable for plasterboard thicknesses from 9,5 mm to 15 mm.
