Fluke's BT 500 Series Battery Analyzers simplify testing battery-based critical load backup power systems

Automated battery string test function significantly reduces test time

Batteries are critical components of backup power systems and need regular testing to ensure their reliability. The new Fluke® 500 Series Battery Analyzers simplify the process of testing stationary batteries and battery banks through an intuitive user interface that provides quick guided test setups that ensure technicians are capturing the correct data while visual and audible indications reduce the risk of errors. The Fluke 500 series is ideal for checking the status of batteries in backup power supply systems for critical loads in data centers, hospitals, airports, power companies, refineries, gas plants, petrochemicals, railways, etc.

The rugged and compact 500 Series Battery Analyzers perform all essential measurements, including battery resistance, ac and dc voltage, dc and ac current (Fluke BT521 model only), ripple voltage, frequency and temperature of battery (Fluke BT521 model only). The 500 series battery analyzers have been specifically designed to perform measurements on stationary batteries including GEL, AGM, lithium-ion, as well as wet lead-acid batteries.

The 500 Series Smart Test Probes streamline the verification process by displaying measurement results on the auxiliary LCD display built into the probe itself, thus eliminating the need for technicians to stop and look at the main display of the test probe. instrument.

Technicians can capture stress readings and temperature logs automatically or via the built-in storage button, simplifying and speeding up the testing process.

Probes include infrared temperature measurements (BT521 only), tri-color LEDs for go/no-go/warning indications, and audible indications.

The analyzers include a useful magnetic element for hanging the instrument on metal panels, a shoulder strap and an innovative transport harness that reduce fatigue while making measurements on long series of batteries.

They also include easy-to-use yet powerful analysis and reporting tools that handle large volumes of data to produce analysis graphs and data tables on a PC or create quick reports in e-mail formats with .csv files.
