New ABUS analogue HD cameras and recorders offer recognition and advanced network security features

RS Components introduces the new ABUS HD analog video surveillance range, which allows standard definition systems to be upgraded economically using existing installations, without introducing IP network equipment.

ABUS analogue HD video cameras offer up to four times higher image quality than standard cameras, enabling advanced surveillance, with license plate recognition and facial identification. Thanks to HD-TVI technology, transmission distances of up to 500 meters are possible, giving greater flexibility in network planning. A selection of fixed, box and tubular dome cameras offering versatile options for protecting individual premises, gas stations, network stores or offices or for industrial purposes. The range also includes new digital video recorders (DVRs) that feature intelligent recording and image recovery to save hard drive space and help users quickly locate recordings of specific events, such as burglary, intrusion or an emergency. These recorders are compatible with both SD and HD cameras and provide up to 16 channels – handling one camera per channel – and up to four 4TB hard drives to suit a variety of applications and budgets. Simply connect the new cameras and recorders to the existing installation. Thus avoiding the expense of implementing a new infrastructure and allowing the introduction of advanced features, such as remote live viewing, or access to recorded video through a browser or through the ABUS iDVR HD Plus mobile application. Users can also monitor up to 256 recorders or 1.000 cameras using the ABUS Central Monitoring software (CMS). Compared to an IP-based system, ABUS Analogue HD is not only easier to deploy, it also reduces network latency by giving security personnel an unobstructed live view of events as they occur in real time. The analogue ABUS HD family is suitable for setting up small to medium-sized systems with a few cameras connected to one DVR or larger systems with many cameras and multiple DVRs monitored on up to four screens or one video wall. Due to the ease of use and adaptability they offer a powerful solution covering the needs of installers, MRO electricians, facility managers in large companies, or small business owners looking to expand security or improve surveillance capabilities quickly and cost-effectively.
