Rohde & Schwarz presents its new R&S SGT100A, the smallest and fastest signal generator up to 6 GHz, specially designed for use in production measurement systems. Thanks to its integrated baseband generator, the device generates measurement signals for various digital standards in a completely reliable way. Together with the R&S FPS signal and spectrum analyzer, it represents the ideal solution for measurements on high-frequency components during the production phase.
The new R&S SGT100A Vector Signal Generator from Rohde & Schwarz covers the frequency range from 80 MHz to 6 GHz. It is equipped with an integrated baseband generator that supports a maximum bandwidth of 160 MHz. Via R&S PC software WinIQSIM2 generator can quickly and easily generate measurement signals for all major digital standards such as LTE, 3GPP and IEEE 802.11ac WLAN.
With a switching time of frequency and level of typ. 240 μs, the R&S SGT100A is the fastest generator in its class. The few microseconds of switching between several digital measurement signals speed up the sequences.
Occupying only one unit high and ½ 19” rack wide, the R&S SGT100A also saves space in system setup. In addition, the equipment has been optimized so that operating costs are minimal: it is available at a very attractive price and has very low power consumption.
The recommended maintenance interval is three years, which represents great savings. Upgrades can be done directly from the customer premises. All this makes the R&S SGT100A the ideal instrument for production environments and automatic measurement systems.
The equipment generates the necessary measurement signals for the characterization of RF modules and components, such as amplifiers, or measurements in femtocell base stations, for example.
The R&S SGT100A, together with the R&S FPS spectrum and signal analyzer, can be used as a mini system to measure high-frequency components at full speed.
