Frequency converters that travel the world

In recent months, Salicru has supplied 3 high-power frequency converters to two markets as disparate as Angola and Estonia, in an export operation carried out through its local distributors. In Angola, a 600 kVA SLC XTRA has been supplied to a bottling plant of a well-known brand worldwide. The other two pieces of equipment, SLC XTRA of 500 kVA, have been supplied to Estonia to feed the American ships that dock in the port of Tallinn. Both in one case and in the other, the SLC XTRA is a three-phase UPS that incorporates the frequency converter function, with optimized features for the protection of industrial production in electrically complicated environments. Based on the VFI (Voltage and Frequency Independent) mode of operation, the SLC XTRA has been developed in AC/DC and DC/AC double conversion technology of the on-line type. This is why the inverter permanently powers the load in both grid present and grid absent mode. This particular configuration ensures the best service, since it continuously provides clean energy that guarantees voltage and frequency stability at nominal values.
