Android adoption is increasing in the integration market, according to the results of a recent international survey conducted by VIA Embedded.

Nearly 250 professionals with a wide variety of knowledge about the integration market have participated in the study. VIA Embedded asked them what they think about the use of Android in embedded devices, including the benefits and challenges they perceive in relation to the adoption of this operating system.

Main results

An overwhelming 93% of respondents say they already use Android or are considering using it in an integration project in the near future.

The three main applications of this operating system are industrial automation, infotainment and digital signage.
