RS6 series for demanding applications in industry, test and measurement technology as well as battery applications RECOM's new RS6 series 6 W DC/DC regulated converters have been specifically developed for applications with high power density in spaces very reduced. They deliver 2,7 W/cm3 and can operate at full load, even at extreme temperatures from -40°C to +75°C. DC/DC converters with a 2:1 input voltage range (nominal 5VDC, 12VDC, 24VDC, and 48VDC) have pin compatibility with the RSO, RS, and RS3 models. This allows for an easy power upgrade without the need for circuit board changes. In addition to single output 3,3VDC, 5VDC, 12VDC, 24VDC and 48VDC versions, dual ±5DC, ±12VDC and ±15VDC versions are also available. With an adjustment pin you can regulate the output voltage precisely according to the requirements of the load. The converters are housed in a compact SIP8 housing measuring just 21,8 x 9,2 x 11,1mm. The efficiency of the modules reaches up to 88%, not only at full load, and even at low loads of approx. 30% to a value of up to 80%. The converters are permanently protected against overload and short circuit, have a TTL compatible control pin and can be operated without minimum load. They are certified to EN62368-1 CB Scheme and EN60950-1 and are subject to the 3-year manufacturer's warranty that RECOM commonly provides for these modules.
