XP Power, distributed in Spain and Portugal by VENCO Electrónica, SA, adds a 250W source to the GCS family of high efficiency, single output AC/DC.
With certifications for both industrial and medical applications, and comprising 150, 180 and now 250W models, the GCS series is available in multiple mechanical formats. Ensuring that this family is suitable for multiple applications, they are available in an industry standard 3 x 5 inch (127 x 76.2 mm) open format, with options to go with a cover, and with a fan on top or at the end of the source. Open format allows the GCS250 to deliver up to 180W without forced cooling, and 250W when cooling with as little as 7 CFM airflow or using the optional fan versions. Since it has both class I and II internal construction, designers can choose to use an input grounded scheme or not. These high efficiency sources, typically up to 93%, are available with different outputs that cover the usual voltages from +12 to +48 VDC. A secondary output for an auxiliary fan with 12 VDC / 0.6 A is also available, and a remote control option is offered. Satisfying a wide range of applications with different environments, the GCS250 can operate in an extended temperature range of –40 to + 70ºC without power limitation up to +50ºC. With an input voltage range from 85 to 264 VAC, with full power available from 90 VAC.
No additional EMI filters are needed as the GCS meets Conducted Class B and Radiated Class A as stipulated in international standards EN55011 and EN55022. They also comply with EN3-60601 Medical Standard 1rd Edition, ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1, CSA22.2 No 60601-1, and UL/EN 60950-1 IT Equipment Standard. 1U' , the GCS250 is suitable for a multitude of applications in the industrial and medical market.
