MATELEC INDUSTRY will show the most innovative developments in the field of industrial robotics

2015 breaks all sales records for industrial robots, a segment with great prominence at the Fair The incorporation of robotics strengthens the productivity of the industry and allows the creation of a culture in the factory towards the smart factory.

The International Exhibition of Technological Solutions for Industry and Smart Factory, MATELEC INDUSTRY, which will be organized by IFEMA from October 25 to 28, at Feria de Madrid, will respond to the real demand of the sector to have a space that promotes and accelerates the process of reindustrialization of southern Europe. A process, that of industry 4.0, in which robotics will have a significant weight, since its application in industrial plants will improve the productivity and quality of the manufactured products and will reduce costs. For this reason, and with the aim of bringing together in the same space those solutions that make it possible to produce more, better and cheaper, at MATELEC INDUSTRY you will be able to discover the latest developments in industrial robotics carried out by the main firms in the sector and their application. in different industrial sectors. The event will divide its exhibition offer into five areas, among which are Automatec, where the proposals for automation and industrial robotics will be the protagonists; Digital Factory; Control Solutions and Industrial Energy Management, as well as Industrial Electronics. Record sales of industrial robots For the first time in history, in 2015 the number of industrial robots sold worldwide exceeded 240.000 units, representing global growth of 8%, according to data from the International Federation of Robotics market study. (IFR). And the upward trend will continue in the coming years, because the forecast is that this figure will double by 2018, reaching 400.000 robots sold. The industrial robotics trade found its greatest demand in the automotive industry, precisely one of the sectors that will have the greatest representation at the Fair. By country, China continues to present the highest demand for industrial robots, with an increase in sales of 16%. The country extended its leadership position as the number one sales market worldwide with 66.000 robots. In the rest of Asia, the figure remained at a high level, with 78.000 units sold. With regard to the European continent, sales of industrial robots increased by 9%, to close to 50.000 units. Eastern Europe, with growth of 29%, was one of the fastest growing regions globally. The number of units deployed in North America, for its part, also broke a new record: in the US, Canada and Mexico with a total of 34.000 units sold in 2015 representing a year-on-year growth of 11 %. Spain, in the top ten of industrial robotics The number of industrial robots in Spain reaches 33.318 units, according to data from the Spanish Association of Robotics and Automation. Thus, in 2015, the total number of units installed was 3.710 units, which represents 16% more than the previous year and close to 12% increase in elements on the market. These figures allow us to affirm that the application of industrial robotics in our country has been increasing, and that in the past year there was a historical record of robots sold in Spain. In this way, our country is among the best positioned in industrial robotics, proving to be a sector with great technological capacity and international prestige, which has also exceeded the growth forecasts that IFR estimated for Europe, which were between 5 and 7%. With regard to the sectors, one of the sectors that invests the most is the automotive industry, which concentrates 48,5% of the incorporated robots, with 18.814 units and a robot density of 957 units. Likewise, the increase in robotic units in the food and beverage sector continues and there is also a significant increase in relation to the previous year in the metal sector. In this context, it is important that the Spanish industrial fabric, both large multinationals and small and medium-sized companies, bet on robotization in their facilities and processes, with the aim of saving economic and energy costs, improving productivity and generating qualified employment. For this reason, those companies interested in obtaining information about the application possibilities and the benefits of these innovative production systems cannot miss the opportunity to attend MATELEC INDUSTRY. The appointment will be from October 25 to 28, at Feria de Madrid.
