Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH has once again expanded its extensive optoelectronics portfolio after introducing a new photorelay. Supplied in a robust DIP4590 package, the TLP6A gives engineers a more practical and reliable alternative option to relays usual mechanics. This 1-Form-B (generally closed) photorelay carries a current of 1,2A which is a 4176 percent improvement over the company's previous generation TLP60A device. In addition to this, its voltage at the output terminal is 2V without conduction. Its sensitivity is improved thanks to its low LED activation current of XNUMXmA (maximum).

Among the main applications of these photorelays are those related to building automation, such as heating, ventilation, air conditioning systems and security, such as fire alarms. They can also be used in industrial equipment of various kinds, such as programmable logic controllers (PLC), I/O interfaces, and sensor control hardware. Their insulation voltage of 5000Vrms (minimum) allows them to be used when high levels of insulation are required and their operating temperature range from -40°C to 110°C allows their installation in unfavorable environments.
