The future of RF power measurement

Adler Instruments introduces the new Boonton PMX40, offering design engineers and technicians the utility of a traditional benchtop RF power meter, the flexibility and performance of modern USB RF power sensors, and the simplicity of a multi-touch screen built with Boonton's most award-winning technology. As a benchtop power meter, the PMX40 provides a stand-alone solution for capturing, displaying, and analyzing average and peak RF power in both time and statistical domains, via an intuitive, multi-touch display. The Boonton PMX40 RF Power Sensor utilizes up to four families of Boonton USB RF Power Sensors, RTP and CPS series with industry-leading performance and capabilities, either stand-alone or for multi-channel synchronized measurements of CW, modulated signals and pressed.

  • Peak and average power analysis
  • Frequency range from 4 kHz to 40 GHz
  • Synchronous measurements of up to 4 channels.
  • Video bandwidth (195MHz) and rise time (3ns)
  • 100,000 measurements per second
  • Time resolution up to 100 ps.
  • Using the sensors as independent power meters.
