TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) announces the introduction of the series TDK-Lambda PYH200 of DC-DC converters 200 W. With a very wide input range (12:1) from 14 to 160 Vdc, these card-mounted models have a format half-brick 61 x 57,9 x 12,7 mm.
The cover Silicone potted offers a high level of resistance to shock and vibration, something very beneficial in those applications that must meet the standard EN 50155 (for example, for electronic equipment used in undercarriage).
The PYH200 series is available with nominal 12, 15, 24, and 48V outputs, adjustable over a range of -20 to +15 percent for non-standard voltages. All variants include remote on/off and sensing functions, frequency synchronization with an external clock, and the ability to extend hold time (hold-up) when connecting an electrolytic capacitor to a BUS terminal.
These power modules have efficiencies of up to 90 percent and can operate with a motherboard temperature -40 to +100 °C. Optional heat sinks facilitate convection or forced air cooling. Converters can also be cooled by conduction.
The input to output and input to motherboard isolation is 3.000 Vac, while the output to motherboard isolation is 500 Vac.
The PYH200 series is certified to IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 safety standards, with CE and UKCA markings for Low Voltage (LV) and RoHS directives. The new drives, in combination with a typical test configuration, have been tested to meet the railway standards EN 50155, EN 45545-2, EN 61373 and EN 50121-3-2.
