Avnet Abacus and a regional business unit of AVNET, has been recognized by Molex for their outstanding achievements in performance and collaboration throughout the year 2025.
The company was named European Distributor of the Year and also received special recognition for its outstanding business success in two specific regions: “Distributor of the Year, Central/Eastern Region,” for its achievements in Poland, and “Distributor of the Year, Northern Region,” for its work in Denmark. In addition, AVNET Abacus also received the “Eagle Award,” while Paul Jones, director of supplier development, received the award for “most valuable performer” from Molex Distribution.
The awards recognize both the effectiveness of the long-standing relationship between Molex and AVNET Abacus, and the impressive commercial and operational results achieved during 2025.
AVNET Abacus achieved year-over-year growth of over 30 percent in point-of-sale (POS) sales for Molex across Europe, while increasing the manufacturer Molex's market share to over four percent. The company also significantly expanded inventory levels, supporting double-digit growth in point-of-purchase (POP) bookings and sales, along with a substantial increase in demand creation and process development activity. Pipeline development when it comes to organizing and moving interested customers forward from the first contact to closing the sale (the concept of “Pipeline development” is like taking care of a seed until it bears fruit).
