Advantech joins the RE100 and commits to using 100% renewable electricity by 2040

Advantech has become a member of the RE100. Advantech has committed to switching 50% of its energy consumption to renewables at Advantech Taiwan and Advantech Kunshan by 2030 and has set a goal of completing its transition to green energy at all its locations around the world by 2040. This commitment is in line with Advantech's long-term vision of its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) values ​​of "intelligently enabling a sustainable planet."

Advantech committed in 2021 to set a science-based target to accelerate the transition to net zero emissions energy. Advantech is implementing several measures to achieve the goal of using 100% renewable energy by 2040. In addition to improving its technologies for energy saving, daily energy consumption management and energy efficiency solutions, it has developed an iEMS system (Intelligent Energy Management System) to effectively manage energy use by implementing an intelligent system. Advantech has also been gradually incorporating renewable energy into its locations. For example, in 2022 photovoltaic solar panels were installed at the Advantech office in Newcastle, UK. iEMS systems have also been incorporated into its offices around the world, as well as a solar power generator, with an annual generating capacity of about 912.000 kWh, installed at Advantech's new US headquarters, which is currently It is under construction.

In addition, in 2021 Advantech started investing in a 10MW solar power plant that will supply electricity to its headquarters in Taiwan from 2024. Advantech's Manufacturing Center in Kunshan, China will also gradually meet the target set with RE100 thanks to to the implementation of a green energy supply plan from 2023.
