Advantech is pleased to announce the EKI-8510G Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) Ethernet Switch. Advantech has actively participated in CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) initiatives to promote CC-Link IE TSN applications in various industries. EKI-8510G has obtained CC-Link IE TSN Class A and B certifications, which allow a wide variety of applications in industrial environments. TSN is an industrial communication technology that takes advantage of the integration of IT (information technology) and OT (operation technology) and offers advantages of its synchronization, high bandwidth and low transmission latency.
The EKI-8510G is the next generation industrial Ethernet switch that supports real-time communication using TSN technology and provides determinism over Ethernet-based networks to ensure data delivery in time-sensitive critical applications. Designed with industrial applications in mind, the EKI-8510G supports full Layer 2 functionality management and is compliant with the EN 50121-4 transport standard for the railway environment. Featuring 8510 Gigabit ports and 8 Gigabit SFP ports, the EKI-2G offers high-speed transmission and an SFP socket for easy and flexible fiber connectivity.
Advantech has participated in the last three editions of the Automation Taipei show in collaboration with the CLPA, between 2020 and 2022, to publicize Advantech's development, commitment and continued success in the field of TSN technology. The TSN technology environment is empowered by the development of interoperability and stability in order to enable industrial operators to improve industrial communication automation and timing accuracy, and also take advantage of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).
