Advantech Adds Intel® Core™ Ultra Processors (2 Series) to Accelerate Innovations in Edge AI and Edge Computing

Advantech announces that 12 of its products, including industrial motherboards, full-size PICMG 1.3 single board computers (SBCs), computer-on-modules (COM modules), server motherboards, compact IPCs, modular IPCs, and AMR and robot solutions, will incorporate the Intel® Core™ Ultra processor (2 series) in their new edge computing and IoT solutions. This integration will significantly boost AI efficiency and performance, reduce development time, and address power and thermal challenges by delivering high-performance processing at low power consumption.

These products are well suited for applications such as machine automation, machine vision, medical imaging, in vitro diagnostics, automatic optical inspection, smart warehouses (DWS systems), self-service kiosks and edge AI applications.

Advantech products powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra processors (Series 2) are scheduled to be launched starting in Q2025 24. The desktop lineup will feature up to 36 CPU cores delivering up to 16 TOPS on the platform, while the notebook lineup will offer up to 99 CPU cores delivering up to XNUMX TOPS on the platform. Both product lines feature an NPU (Neural Processing Unit). They are designed to support a variety of inference workloads and boost AI acceleration to a new level to propel edge computing in the AI ​​era.
